This webinar will provide an “introduction” to the banking industry and touch on most all aspects of banking. Attending this training session will help you develop an understanding of the following areas of banking:
  1.  Full-service commercial banking including a brief history of the modern US banking industry and how banks make money 
  2. Products and services offered by banks including depository accounts, lending, trust department, and cash management
  3.  Types of loans-consumer, residential, and commercial 
  4. The five “Cs” of credit: capacity, capital, collateral, conditions, and character
  5.  Investment products (FDIC and non-FDIC insured) 
  6. Competitors in the market place
  7.  Customer Service Skills and their importance in all aspects of banking 
  8. Emerging technologies including the latest trends
  9.  Banking regulations and regulatory agencies 
  10. Management of the bank including the ALCO, audit, and loan committees

David Osburn is the founder of Osburn & Associates, LLC, a Business Training & Contract CFO firm that specializes in providing seminars, webinars, and keynote speeches to CPAs, bankers, attorneys, credit managers, and business owners on topics such as Banking/Finance/Credit, Negotiation Skills, Marketing, Management Issues. David also functions as a Contract CFO and works with medical practitioners, CPA firms, construction companies, financial institutions, and real estate developers. He has been an adjunct college professor with over 30 years of teaching experience. David’s extensive professional background encompasses over 24 years as a Business Trainer/Contract CFO and 16 years in banking (commercial lending) including the position of Vice President/ Senior Banking Officer. His banking credentials include loan underwriting, customer development, management, and loan “workout.”
 
David has an MBA in Finance/Marketing from Utah State University and a BS degree in Finance from Brigham Young University. He is also a graduate of the ABA National Commercial Lending School held at the University of Oklahoma.  Additionally, he holds the professional designation of Certified Credit & Risk Analyst (CCRA) as granted by the National Association of Credit Management (NACM).

Registration fee is per person. The webinar will be conducted via Zoom. You will receive connection information prior to the program. The registration deadline is one week prior to the offering. Cancellation Policy: Written cancellation, email accepted, must be received on or before Friday, January 16, 2026, and will be subject to a $75 cancellation fee. NO refunds will be granted after Friday, January 16, 2026; however, a substitute may attend. ICBC reserves the right to cancel any program for which there are insufficient funds to cover the expense of the program. In the event of cancellation by ICBC registration fees will be refunded.
